National Transfer Student Week

 The University of Houston-Downtown is joining universities around the country in celebrating National Transfer Student Week (NTSW), which strives to recognize and bring awareness to the experience and journey of our transfer students. From October 21–25, we are hosting a series of events and opportunities for UHD transfer students to connect with other transfer students, learn about the resources and support services available here, and celebrate life as a Gator. Check out the events listed below for how you can get involved.

In addition to all the events listed below, we have a range of events and opportunities for students thinking about transferring to UHD. Learn more about how prospective transfer students can get involved with UHD during NTSW at www.uhd.edu/transferstudents or www.uhd.edu/ATA.

NTSW Scavenger Hunt

Find stickers around the UHD campus that display the National Transfer Student Week logo and bring it to N320 to win GSI/ATA Swag!
Hints will be posted on our Instagram.

 

NTSW Social Media Challenge

All Week
Instagram
Complete any of the daily challenges and use the coordinating hashtags on Instagram. Students who complete the challenges will be entered into a drawing to win a GSI/ATA SWAG BAG!

 

NTSW Kickoff

Monday, October 21 - 9:00am - 11:00am
OMB 3rd Floor Main Hallway
Visit the Gator Success Institute/Accelerated Transfer Academy Table located  in the One Main Building Mural Area as we kickoff National Transfer Student Week to celebrate transfer students along with the professionals who support them in their academic and career journey. Grab a donut & spin the wheel for some UHD swag and learn about other events during Transfer Week. There will  be an opportunity to take selfie photos with our custom NTSW photo frame!

WALK2VOTE

Monday, October 21 - 11:00am - 4:00pm
OMB South Deck
Join us as we team up with UHD Student Government Association (SGA) to “Walk2Vote”. This event is created to empower UHD students to use their constitutional right to vote and play a critical role in the November elections as they pledge to vote during early voting.

 

UHD Homecoming Mum Mania
