hen you complete a Beyond the Bayou micro-credential, you receive a verified digital badge through Parchment, the same trusted platform used for official academic records. Unlike a certificate you print yourself, a Parchment badge is tamper-proof and linked directly to UHD. Employers can verify it instantly. Add your badge to your LinkedIn profile, digital resume, or email signature an d let your credentials do the talking before you even get to the interview.

Beyond the Bayou micro-credentials are more than a participation award. They are verified, employer-facing credentials issued through Parchment. Each badge documents that a UHD student has completed structured, competency-based training in one or more of four workforce-critical skill areas: Communication, Decision Making, Technology, and Professionalism.

These skills are aligned with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) career readiness competencies, which represent what employers nationally say they need most from new graduates.
