Organization Description
Reach Unlimited, Inc. is dedicated to providing quality support services for people
with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We provide the most comprehensive
programs and services for persons with disabilities in the greater Houston northwest.
Description of Internship
We are seeking a dedicated intern to assist with social media (which can be done remotely)
and helping us gain exposure which in turn will gain more support. Securing donations
for our clients from bingo prizes to holiday treats. We also would like someone that
is comfortable in pitching our organization and mission and securing tickets to various
events. Someone who is interested in being in the classroom and comfortable with people
with special needs can read to our clients, play games, do music therapy, help them
with interviewing skills, etc.
Criteria for Interns
All majors are fine, however this would be very enlightening for an education, psychology,
sociology or health major. The right person will be empathetic, comfortable around
people with disabilities and have a sense of humor!
