The Marilyn Davies College of Business announces with a heavy heart that Dr. William K. Barksdale, Professor of Management and an MBA Faculty Director, passed away unexpectedly on June 4th, 2022. 

At UHD, Dr. Barksdale will be remembered as a person who loved teaching, guiding, and supporting students. Dr. Barksdale was a leader in our college and community for almost seven years, and spent much of that time leading our MBA staff to propel that program to the highest enrollment in Texas. More importantly, Dr. Barksdale was a friend, a counselor, an encyclopedia of knowledge, an advisor, and someone who generated so much personal energy and enthusiasm that it was regularly felt throughout the college.

Dr. Barksdale will be greatly missed by the Gator Family.
