CFO University Presented by FEI Houston & Marilyn Davies College of Business at University of Houston-Downtown

The Houston Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI Houston or FEI) hosted a one-day conference to provide a broad training curriculum for chief financial officers and aspiring financial executives in the Houston metropolitan area on May 20. Presentations were hosted throughout the day, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m, in the Wilhelmina Cullen Robertson Auditorium (A350), located on the 3rd floor (Main Street Level) of the Academic Building.
The event began with a presentation called "Solid Growth or Moonshot?" presented by
Dr. Charles Gengler, Dean of the Marilyn Davies College of Business. Along with the
panel of guest speakers, our very own Dr. Esther Castro, assistant professor of Finance
and faculty advisor of the Financial Management Association, presented her research
from UHD in Finance and Accounting, called "Latin America Cash Remittances and the
                           Pandemic Effect."

This program was applicable to CFOs, Treasurers, CAOs, division controllers, VPs or
directors of finance, planning, tax, internal audit, investor relations, risk management,
                           or financial reporting.

members to have a voice in financial, accounting, tax, and governance policy that
would be difficult for companies to achieve while acting individually. Learn more
